Principal's Message

Welcome Students and Families!
I am honored and humbled to be the principal at Conners Elementary School. I began my educational career over 22 years ago and have taught grades kindergarten through 8th grade. I have spent the last three years of my educational career as an administrator at an elementary school here in Clark County. I have learned early on that education must provide students opportunity, now and in their future. Opportunity must come in ways that will motivate and stimulate students to become lifelong learners and help them to reach their goals.
I am excited and committed to implement a culture of continuous learning that fosters children’s ideas, fuels their imagination of what their future may hold, and provides them the tools to continue to grow to reach their goals in life. I know that our students have had dramatically different learning experiences during distance learning. Now, more than ever, is the pivotal time to disaggregate and analyze data, diagnose students’ needs, and accelerate learning using many interventions both academic and nonacademic. At Conners Elementary School, we can build an educational environment that celebrates different learning styles, fosters creativity, and builds self-esteem, all while increasing student engagement and student achievement! I believe all students can learn and grow when we put them first.
Sincerely,
Dr. Karen Marentic
